General Overseer of the Church of God (2004-2008)
The need for Pentecostal renewal and revival in our churches has never been more urgent than it is today. David and Patricia Knowles have done an excellent job in pressing home this fact, and it is our prayer that the Holy Spirit will use this book to create in the hearts of His people the type of holiness that is acceptable to God.
In a fresh, engaging and anointed manner, Patricia Knowles presents the neglected doctrine of holiness-sanctification as the key to the true, costly and deep renewal of the church. This is an unusual, thoroughly understandable and inspiring work. It deserves to be read by all who long for God, the revival of the church and the discipling of billions of our neighbours who need to know Christ and be prepared for His coming again.

It is indeed a blessing to endorse this book by David and Patricia Knowles, ‘Holiness the Key to Revival’. Holiness reflects the nature of the Deity. This couple have once more brought this important subject to the attention of the church at a time when relativism has deeply impacted our perception in this truth. I pray that their effort will elevate our awareness on a path to revival for our nation.

Patricia Knowles presents an impassioned cry for a return to the biblical experience of sanctification and to the living of a life of separation and purity: in other words, a life of holiness. Her zeal for this call to holiness shows in every chapter of her book, HOLINESS, THE KEY TO REVIVAL. I commend her for her zeal and love for this neglected teaching.
This book is devotional in nature, but it is more than that. It is a valuable resource that presents Scripture, doctrine and the testimony of many believers who have followed this way of life in the Holy Spirit and can testify to the effectiveness of the message.
The passion of the book is to demonstrate that the experience of personal sanctification is provided in Christ’s death and resurrection, commanded and promised in Scripture and is a very real experience in the record of Scriptures and believers in Jesus Christ in all ages of the Christian church.
This book is a welcome contribution to holiness Pentecostal literature. It is highly readable. It lends itself easily to teaching. It provides graphics that are adaptable to overhead projection and power point presentation.
I am pleased to commend this book to the attention and use by laity, pastors, teachers, evangelists and other ministers of the Word.

I am pleased to endorse this book one of the most needful subjects in the Church today – Holiness! It’s seems these days that people care less and less about what Christianity means and can mean to the world, and appears to find its roots in the simple statement, Christians do not practice what they preach. The sad truth of the matter is that the statement, for far too many Christians is true! Our words do not match our actions; our convictions do not match our passions; our experience does not match our believing. What then is the solution? Holiness.
In this book by David and Patricia Knowles, that often mystical and elusive concept of Biblical Holiness is simply explained and illustrated. Accompanied with numerous quotes from great leaders of the Christian Faith, such as John Wesley, Charles Finney and Samuel Logan Brengle about what Holiness is and how it manifests itself in the life of the Believer, this book will be invaluable to those who are truly seeking to know the Father’s heart and to live lives that are genuine and in tune with the will of God.
I’m excited that our paths have crossed and we intend to promote this book. We find it to be doctrinally sound and appropriate for our Movement. Thank you David and Tisha for letting God use you to bless us through this book.

David and Patricia Knowles book, ‘Holiness the Key to Revival’ is a remarkable book on the subject of holiness and a ‘must read’. It offers us the opportunity, not only to examine ourselves but to impact the lives of others.

Reader’s Comments
“It (the book) is so clear, it is so true, right, noble, totally crucially relevant, and other words I cannot find! Wonderful, inspiring, and, potentially life changing! I am not making this up – you must write the second book!”

My wife and I have known Patricia Knowles for over 34 years, soon after her conversion to Christ. From the very beginning she was eager to understand the Holy Scriptures, that she might know God more personally and in reality.
While we were working for many years in Asia and in the Middle East, Patricia’s letters to us were inspiring, encouraging us in missionary activity, and always with spiritual questions as to how we understood what the scriptures were saying on this or that. Her hunger was for God Himself. She was always exuberant and reverent, extrovert to convert. Her light was never hidden and her concern was for people who knew not the Lord Jesus personally. She herself desired above everything else not only to experience the filling, baptism with the Holy Spirit of God, but to be totally sanctified, and to know Him, ‘whom to know is life in fullness’. Her book will undoubtedly provoke reaction, since we hear little teaching today on the Holiness of God. To live holy lives makes us uncomfortable as we are challenged ‘to be holy as He is Holy’ and to seek sanctification and live as He would have us live.

Tom and his wife worked as missionaries for nearly forty years, twenty of which were in Muslim countries – the last sixteen being under Operation Mobilisation. He was tied to the Native Church in Borneo – the Sidang Injel Borneo (Evangelical Church of Borneo). They have led thousands to the Lord and parented dozens of ex-Muslims. They currently – though ‘retired’ – are active and still fruitful in the Reading area.
